A Potted History:
It all started in February 2004 when my gorgeous son was born.
I planned to use the high street baby carriers that my sister had given me to carry my newborn son in, thinking that I would have the use of my hands to get my lunch or do tasks around the house etc.
However it was not to be- My dear son (ds) did not seem comfortable in these carriers and would not stay in them for more than 5 minutes, he wasn’t supported in the right places and I wasn’t that comfortable either.
When he was 4 weeks old I was introduced to the world of ringslings, and I could see that they were more supportive of ds and certainly more beautiful than the high street carriers.
When he was approximately 8 months old I found a stretchy wraparound sling and to my amazement my constantly moving, wriggly little boy loved it and snuggled right in!!
I quickly discovered that there is a whole world of different styles of slings designed to carry babies from birth to toddlerdom, all with different benefits both to child and parent.
I'm wife to Marc, part-time step mum to Antony and Koren and mum to Max (Feb04) and Theo (Oct06).
We all live in Leicester, though not necessarily in the same place!
